Making Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Cupcake / Cookie Toppers

I was recently sent a box of various colored Airheads, Airheads bites and Airheads Xtremes, compliments of Smiley360, with the challenge of creating a unique candy creation.  Since my two little boys LOVE Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, I decided to make toppers for our Halloween cupcakes and cookies.  I started by cutting out the head for the turtle:

Next, I cut the mask:

The mask can be applied to the head by gently pressing the two together. 

Eyeballs can be affixed in the same manner.

 Next, I cut the mouth using a white Airhead and then applied black cookie icing to it.
Alternatively, you could use a food-safe gel pen or icing writer to make the same effect.

 

Gently press onto the face to apply.

Lastly, I cut a tongue using a red Airhead and gently pressed it onto the mouth.

Done!  And I had just enough green Airheads to make two more:
